Joel St. Germain is currently working on his honors thesis at Hunter College. He has a strong background in art and music. His research interests are many, and include forensic neuropsychology, the neurobiological benefits of meditation, dreams/sleep and other unconscious processes, transcranial magnetic stimulation, substance abuse, and HIV-related health care, with an emphasis on the gut microbiome-central nervous system connection. He is currently a Research Assistant for Rutgers Institute for Health, Healthcare Policy, and Aging Research. He plans to apply to doctoral programs and become a psychologist.
